Blue Tide Diptych

Using wet-on-wet gesso and a dry-brush pigment across the surface of the canvas creates expanses for contemplation. This contrast in process, along with the application of textured oil and pastel marks, symbolizes the erasing of preconceived notions. Through this process, color is applied to ask the observer to join in redefining what we believe to be real.
